"A WORKSHOP ON DIVINE MOTHER"

November 7, 8, & 9, 2003

In this workshop you will be guided in the use of Mantras, ritual and Prayer Dance as tools to help you realize the Divine Power within yourself personified as Divine Mother. You will also deepen your understanding of symbols and symbolic expression as you work with these tools. You will experience with the power of sound as revealed in the chanting of various Mantras and the power of Mudra in Prayer Dance. These tools will draw to you a spiritual wisdom far beyond your ordinary understanding. You will also have an opportunity to experience the power of ritual as you participate in a "puja" dedicated to Divine Mother. In this ancient practice you will work with the five elements of the Kundalini System, the chanting of Mantras, the forming of Mudras and the power of symbols to contact the Divine Feminine within.

In 1982 Swami Hridayananda (Linda Anne Seville) left an eleven year career as a chemist at Shell Canada to study yoga with Swami Sivananda Radha. She spent 15 years in training with Swami Radha and was given all three yoga initiations including the initiation into Sannyas on July 17, 1992 where she became Swami Hridayananda. She has led classes and workshops in Canada, the U.S., England and Spain and currently teaches workshops in Toronto and Whitehorse as well as classes at Chinook College in Calgary. In June of 2002 she was a keynote speaker on yoga at the Global Peace Conference in Vancouver. She has recorded CD’s on Mantra including In Praise of Divine Mother: Songs, Prayers and Poems.
