Thinking of Others
If your family is planning an
activity and you can include a few more kids in the learning experience we
would be happy to send out an e-mail bulletin to let other families know what
you have to offer. Sharing an activity with others can make it a lot more fun
and you can help another home schooler at the same time.
e.g.: "The Smith family is going to be doing a _____ science project
next Wednesday and are looking for 3 more children between the ages of 8 and
12 to join them."
or "The Happy family is planning an afternoon of tennis and would like 2
more kids over the age of 6 to play with us."
Just let us know what activities your family can share with others and we'd
be happy to pass the message along.
The City of Whitehorse Active Living Guide is now available at city Parks and Recreation. (668-8325) or online.
This is a great resource for both educational and recreational activities
available in the city: Introduction to Paper Mache, Roc Climbing, Swimming,
Drawing, etc. You might want to check it out....
